Were You Guys Happy with Your Internship Recruiting Outcomes?
Given the difficult economy over the past year and the randomness of the recruiting process, how did you guys feel about your recruitment cycle? Were you happy, content, or unhappy with your recruiting outcomes?
More importantly, what advice would you have for future prospects and what would you have done differently?
Still going - so not yet.
I hope some kids keep things in perspective, especially amongst mass layoffs. Any internship is an incredible first step and let me be the first to tell you I'll happily take your offer if you're 'disappointed.'
IDC where the office is or what the deal size is anymore; I've been fired up about IB for over a year and between my own growing pains and bad luck, here I am with my dick in my hand in May. Still loving every minute of the chase. I guess I don't know when to quit
Yes but also no. Ended up in the city I wanted (NY) but joining a much more niche group than I anticipated which worries me. Overall feel great since I grinded as a 3.7 non diverse non target international and made it to BB NY.
"Hurr durr im not content bcos I didnt the group that I wanted at my BB SUMMER INTERNSHIP, where i'll be in NYC at a BB BANK!!! a BULGE BRACKET!!!. Oh oh oh did I mention I'm a NON-TARGET !!!"
Man stfu, you're just bragging
Incredibly happy. I’m an international student at a shit school that places 1 kid in IB maybe every 4-5 years lmao. My family and friends used to give me shit for wanting to study in the US, and do finance and work long hours etc. But when that offer letter came through with the comp, and they saw my total household income being earned in 10 weeks, they were so proud. This is the start of generational wealth so I’m extremely happy.
