What are my chances - Interviewed with a bank

So... I interviewed with a bank...and everything went great and I was complemented on my intelligence, confidence, blah blah, but I made a crucial mistake of not knowing that the firm is not engaged in trading certain product that I said I was interested in.

I've been in contact with many seniors guy within the firm, and right after the interview, they will let me know once they are done intervewing other kids from my school.

Do I still have a chance or do you think that was too big of a mistake that I didn't know what products they trade?

the guy who interviewed me didn't respond to my thank you notes (just HRs telling me that they will let me know soon)

they never respond... Dont worry too much bout that. Just start applying to others just in case... No crying over spilt milk.

If they want you, great... If they dont, screw 'em and put it down to experience.

I've gotten responses to all my thank you notes so far, including MD's and stuff. So it might be a bad sign. But, send another handwritten thank you note to each of them, letting them know you're still interested. A few people I talked to mentioned this can help.

We all have to go through it. It's part of the game.

Interviewers indeed NEVER respond to thank you e-mails. You'll hear about the outcome later on, so try not to worry too much about it.
