What are my chances - MD stopped by
Hi everyone,
I have been going through interviews for a job at one of the top IBs, first round had a telephone interview with a vp, then went on site and met 2 more VPs which went well, following that went back and met with 8 people from the department one being the hiring manager who happens to be an MD. I think I did well, got along with everyone, answered all the questions and wasn't nervious at all. The MD is the one I saw first thing and then at the end of the day he came to see me again to inform me that he is heading for meeting and wanted to say goodbye! Thought that was bit unusual.
Got home sent thank u notes to all and in the evening the MD sent me an email saying he wants me to meet an MD who wasnt in the day I went in and given that I am traveling back to another country that day he asked what time is convenient for me so I responded. He called me in the morning and he told me that he tried to get hold of the other MD but he is tied up in meetings that morning so he will organise a telephone or video conferencing call from where I am. He then went on to give me the exact timeline saying that there are couple candidates who are still in the process but he will get back to me end of the week latest. He said he is very interested in me and would want me to speak to the MD.
They started formally interviewing for this post a week ago, mine got rushed because I live in a different country and I happened to be around for a limited period of time so possibly that's why I am ahead in the process.
What do u think are my chances here
I lost track of the second MD interview. What happened to the interview with the 2nd MD?
The first MD told me he wants me to speak to another MD next week. I thought after seeing 1 MD, 7 Vps and 2 analysts from the team that was it but the hiring manager told me they are interested in me and said he wants me to speak to another MD next week and he should have a decision by end of next week.
