what banks/countries/positions/divisions have online tests?

I applied to a research SA position at ML in London and they are making me take an online test. What other banks do this? Is it all banks in the UK, or just ML, and is it just for certain divisions? Also how do they treat the tests, do you just need to pass a minimum and the rest of people are automatically weeded out, or is it just another part of the application that they will be be considered together with the other parts of your app?
