WHAT DO I DO - any advice appreciated

Background - EU BB AN1 laid off late 2022.... literally had no experience (1 year on the nose) HR promised that they would help and instead they just failed me. Took the first job I could, again was an inexperienced move, into real estate debt which through no fault of my own the general market is very bad and my team is dead. I probably work an hour a day after which I am free., nearly 8 months of this. I feel stuck in real estate and I would like to return to IB however everyone just sees me as a real estate guy, but I am more capable than that.

Honestly - any advice or leads for roles would be great. I'm just at the point of giving up. I feel like an idiot and failure all the time.

my options:

1- stay at firm, apply and wait - risk that situation does not improve and get further fucked into real estate.

2- quit and do a masters (to try and reset)

What should i do / What have i not considered?
