What does "Investments" Mean?
okay, before you start laughing, hear me out. So I am close to someone who is a senior vice president of Investments for UBS financial services...what does this entail? Is it related to investment banking or just like PWM? I want to know because I want to ask him various questions but don't want to seem like a dimwit for not knowing what he is doing...thanks.
I'm not super sure, but I think it falls under global asset management.

Yeah it's wealth management.
PWM
he's good at sales
PWM with at least $300 - $400K in gross revenues. You can estimate that he manages around $25-35 Million with those kinds of numbers.
Give or take a few points, 40% - 42% pre-tax income from gross revenues is the industry average. It all depends on his business model (fee-based business or transactional stock jock/muni junkie). Transactional could be higher, but still usually falls within that range.
His revenues could be higher. Usually the minimum for the title is $400,000 gross revenue, but he could be doing $1 Million in revenue and still have that title.
