What does this mean? - Evaluating candidates?
Hey. I had a super day a little over a week for a top AM firm.
I received an email last week saying they are still evaluating candidates and they will get back to by Monday.
I received another email today that they will get back to me by next Monday.
Should I just give up hope?
I've heard they have given out acceptances/ rejections at this point.
Means you are probably wait-listed, so depending on how many don't accept, you might have a shot. Depends how far down you are and how many openings there will be. Think of it like flying standby.
Yeah I see. I'm a bit confused I guess because my friend received the same email as me last week, but got rejected this week.
I'm assuming I'm towards the top then?
I would guess. They clearly are not willing to release you or let you go. Keep applying and interviewing though. No sense in hoping it pans out.
