What else can I do, Non target eh GPA

I was curious to hear thoughts/stories of people is a similar position. I finished my freshman year at a non target and struggled first semester, second semester I got serious but my GPA is still hurting (3.4) I can probably apply to SA jobs with around a 3.5. I have some really great connections and am not worried about getting in the door for an interview. But I am worried about being laughed at because of a bad GPA in an interview. I have an internship at a HF this summer and have started thinking about next summer.

  1. What are the best banks that will take a 3.5?
  2. If I get a job at a smaller boutique coming out of college is it hard to move to a BB or EB after 1-2 years of being an analyst?
  3. What jobs should I be targeting next summer?
  4. If I impress in an interview will banks look pass the 3.5?
  5. What else besides for grinding on technicals and killing myself next semester do I have to do?

NYC btw, just wanted to make that clear.
