any color on strategy/product? also, was the PM not clear about this before you joined?
2 months, in 2 diferent cases. It's important how the PM reacts.. if he doesn't degross and/or rubs management as being cavalier, there's a chance they cut him before he even hits his limits.
My PM is -80bps ytd... equity l/s book, new launch. management keeps pressing to lower vol (around 5% and to degross)... is a drawdown like this normal in this market for an L/S book? I am new to the industry and came out of banking and know you have 10+ years of experience so looking for any color
Yeah that type of drawdown in this market is very normal, so on its own it doesn't mean a lot.
How experienced is your PM? Has he been around for a long time?
