What is the right path?

Good afternoon, I am kind of torn as to what type of jobs I should be specficially targetting, so I figured I'd get some feedback.

Non-target, 3.3 GPA, Economics, graduated in 2011 (did 2 MSF classes to brush up on my finance when I got my spring analyst role ~3.5 GPA) Off cycle + SA at boutqiue IB Temp Fixed Income Junior Trader at regional bank Private company internal summer analyst (FP&A)

Obviously IBD is ideal, but in talking to my connections on wall street, it is evident that hiring is going to be minimal as reductions are prolific. Trading outlook is looking equally bleak (though I have heard rumors of expanded hiring in Fixed Income?). The primary goal of this post is to expand my universe of positions out there, as I have diverse exp and therefore do not want to focus all of my efforts on ONE set position. Why use a pistol when you can use an assault rifle instead?
