What job should I take? (Freshman)

I got an offer for claims at a F100 insurance company as a freshman and am wondering if it is ok to take this over something unpaid at a no name boutique or something. I started cold calling today with moderate success and am confident I could land something if I tried hard.. My end goal is S&T. Thoughts? Thanks guys

If the F100 offer is not expiring. Any work experience when you are a freshmen is good, but actual ib/finance related experience at a boutique or no name firm is better.

Since you only started cold calling and you are a freshmen, I say take the F100. It won't be a bad experience, but you should have been networking/calling awhile ago. Don't assume that you can land something this late in the game. Play it smart this Summer and then start networking in the early fall for a sophomore internship in S&T.

I networked, just unfortunately at the wrong companies, big ones that don't hire freshman. Either way I started way too late on the cold calling. I'll be on the ball next year though. Thanks for the advice gekko.

No problem. I've gone through the whole process recently so look me up in the Fall if you need any advice/hints.
