What role do investment banking verticals play in recruiting?
Do internship programs (or even analyst recruiting) for investment banks (specifically BB) accept a larger pool of people and then randomly assign them to different industry groups? Can one specifically target opportunities in certain verticals such as healthcare? I am asking because my major (at a target school) and interests are heavily skewed towards healthcare. Would it be a advantage to have specialized knowledge+interest in healthcare or would it limit me?
