What should I do? Please help.

Im about to enter my junior year of college and didn’t have an internship this summer. Bank of america offered me an investment specialist trainee position with a commitment of 4-6 months. Since I could graduate early I was thinking of doing it. Would it help me get an internship next summer or should I just go back to school.

Curious what others think but I don’t think you should graduate early for the sole purpose of getting some trainee position. Not a great look though that you weren’t able to land anything for the summer. Did you apply for unpaid internships and leverage your personal network (friends/family/professors) to try to find something?

You’ll miss out on your last year of school which kinda sucks if you have friends, and you don’t gain that much by doing so (you’re not guaranteed a job or anything). If I was in your shoes I would be figuring out exactly what to do this summer, and then be applying to full time roles as soon as the summer is over.

But the hard truth is that if you wanted to do IB the ship is probably sailed if you don’t have any internship lined up for your junior summer.
