What so i be doing?

Hey everyone,
Currently i've been reading alot of the forum and how people often take initiative to cold call and email. I was wondering how people normally find their contacts? Through Linkedin or company site?

I'm a new graduate (from Canada U of T - BBA finance) and have been desperately looking for any sort paid, unpaid, or whatever employment internship (due to my lack of experience in the field). Unfortunately i think my tactic is wrong(and also late to the game, or say unlucky) as all i've been doing is looking at job postings etc, and network with just a few contacts. Where can i obtain their contact info and at least make attempt to cold-email/call them especially boutique firms.

Thank you.
