What to make of this - Any experience in these types of situations?

Hey guys,

So i have a situation here that i'm not too sure of how I should go about this. I contacted an alum and he responded and wanted to meet for coffee. The meeting place is his office, and i am not too sure how I should treat this. Clearly this is an information session but I guess my ultimate question is how should I dress for the occasion. Is khakis and a button up reasonable or should i go in with a suit? Anyone else been through these types of situations?

thanks for any help.

I don't think it would cause any problems if you went business casual, but it can't hurt to be safe and just wear a suit. You can always just take the suit jacket off. Considering it is in his office I would rather err on the side of being too formal.
