what to wear on superday

Uhm, I have a rather nice pinstriped black/dark blue (can't really tell) suit with the following three shirt/tie sets:

1) Light blue shirt/yellow tie with light blue stripes
2) Green shirt/green tie with bronze 5mm thick grid pattern
3) Yellow shirt/black tie with gold slanted infinity (that's the best i can describe it) pattern

So the question is... should I go out and get another suit? Another two shirts?

Conservative: How to dress like an investment banker

  • Black shoes
  • Navy Suit
  • Gray Suit
  • White Shirt
  • Conservatively Colored or Patterned Tie

The idea here is to dress as conservative as possible. It can be tempting to add a little bit of personal flair or flex your love European fashion trends. However, this is a bad idea. You do not want what you wear to impact you as a candidate in any way.

You should be well groomed and polished in appearance but you can do this and still dress conservatively. You are the product in an interview scenario and you want to bring focus on your qualifications, passion, and competence. You may have more wiggle room once you’ve secured an offer and start working but be cautious.

Let me tell you a personal story: the last time I interviewed for a job, I left the John Lobbs and the H. Huntsman at home, and donned a well-tailored Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald suit and a pair of spit-shined Aldens. Look at your interview attire as a uniform, rather than an expression of your personality.

You should go as how Will Smith did in his interview. Dirty Blue Jeans with a Painters shirt. Its a classic combination

classic!

White is also a great color. Its classic. I would recommend wearing something which is slightly off-white unless you've got a super white smile. It's what I read in some fashion journal. Then again as 'killjoy' said its not a fashion parade. Good Luck!

Dude just wear a navy blue suit, white shirt, black belt, black shies, black socks, a tie that you like and confidence.

Option 2 and option 3 sound awful..

Someone told me once: 'never trust a guy whose tie is brighter than his shirt'. You've been warned...

  1. Pinstripe suite
  2. White shirt with English spread collar
  3. tie with diagonal stripes and bold colours - say red with blue...
  4. Black shoes and belt - make sure the shoes have a leather sole and that they are clean, but worn in.
  5. DO NOT WEAR A TIE PIN!!!

All the BSDs at my firm these days are wearing pink shirts. Seems to be the new power color. How good do you feel about this interview? Make a statement!
