What year grades do banks look at ?

Is it true that most companies look at your last 2 years of undergrad ? I'm a first year student still and got a few B's this semester. Do you have to be a straight A student to get into investment banking ? What GPA is usually expected ? How can I convert Canada's grades into U.S ? Help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

As a first year student, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you need to calm down a bit. Banks do not look highly at your last 2 years and not care about the 1st 2, or just the 3, but not the 1st, 2nd or 4th, or anything like that. Banks care about your cumulative GPA - and as far as GPA ranges are concerned, 3.7+ is ideal, 3.5+ is strong, and 3.3+ is acceptable. You do not need straight A's to get into IB, although fit is highly important, so keep that in mind to keep you from becoming solely focused on getting all A's. For more on GPA, check out:

Cumulative GPA means if I get a C once during my 4 years. I can never get 4.0 gpa. is that correct ? I guess I do have to calm down )) got a little worried there...
