What's a Good Email Format for Networking, Applications, etc...

I know this question makes me sound like a sweaty nerd.

Given that things like firstlast@domain and first.last@domain are taken, would you rather first.last+birthyear@domain or first.last+random 2 digit number@domain? Or something else?

Are you talking about making an entirely new personal email for sending emails to? Is this common practice? Any pros and cons of doing so in the first place? — apologies, not able to give advice for your specific question

yeah I don't want to use my school email as I can't change the username (i put numbers, didn't use my full first name) and my personal has a shit ton of garbage spam flooding the inbox.

Figured it'd help me stay organized if I kept one email specifically for recruitment

Sounds like you're networking for SA?

Normally you would just use your school one over a personal email, just make sure to use a vanity email instead of the ID they give you originally.
