What's is recruiting like from a target school?

After a miserable recruiting season during the start of covid, I was fortunate enough to land a job at a BB. I go to a non target state school, and was wondering what the recruiting process is like for someone who actually goes to a target school. Do they still have to network? Are they able to apply directly though the companies websites and just receive interviews?
