What’s the shortest amount of time before I can lateral?
Will be an incoming 24 FT analyst but desperately do not to be at the firm I’m at. Would it be possible to leave after 3 months? Start in July leave by September?

I would say 6 months could have been done in a 2021 market but now probably looking at 8 months to a year a minimum. Tbh would just take it on the chin if you can't move and reneg. A lot of people are begging for a job at any firm.

Issue with the firm having no brand name and 90% of deals are capital raising and m&a is non existent.
