When should I start my major networking effort?
I'm a rising sophomore. I've already met some alumni and upperclassmen just through clubs and stuff, but everyone talks about the huge excel spreadsheet of alumni at every bank and scheduled informational interviews and the rest of a concerted networking effort. Should I start that now, or is it too early? Is first semester sophomore year the right time to start contacting bankers for informational interviews?
Now is good.
As with all good ideas, yesterday
I started as a freshman
Did you go to a target school? I ask since I've heard a lot of people online say to start super early like Freshman year, but all the upperclassmen at my school say they didn't start until sophomore fall, so maybe it's a school by school thing.
