when to learn financial modeling/technicals as incoming freshman?
hi, i'm at a high target school but don't have any relevant finance experience/knowledge of excel or anything like that. i'll likely be learning python, r, and c++ this year, but what other steps should i take to get a summer internship (like wm or boutique)? i'm already interning at a search fund at least for the fall, and i'll try joining my school's clubs etc. (hasn't started yet).
any advice? thanks!
