When to start FT networking/re-connecting?

I’m currently graduating class of 24’, and a SA at a MM firm. While my main focus right now is to secure the return offer- Im wondering when should I start reconnecting and networking with other firms for FT recruiting?

I think it’s also relevant to mention that I go to a non-target, so I do know I’m not really in the position to be picky.

Let’s say that I do get the return offer but don’t love the group and want to start FT in a different location/group.

What would be the best course of action? From what i’ve read what’s most important is securing the return offer because that will be top of mind/most asked question in future interviews.

Thanks in advance..
