Where do I fit in?
So I've got bit of a different, though not wholly unusual background. I'm an 6-10 yr practising finance lawyer, in the last year of my MBA. Looking to move to the finance side, but having a tough time figuring out where I fit. All of the guidance I read about the lawyer switch focuses on JD's w/o MBA's and who have limited experience.
Any advise on how a seasoned lawyer, with an MBA can best make the shift without too much of a step back in career path? About me, non-US lawyer, MBA is Ivy League, GPA is good, non-US law school, major Canadian law firm. Practise focuses entirely on finance (public and PE) and M&A, no real estate or bankruptcy.
Thanks in advance.
