Where to go from here? -Undergrad

Hi,

I am graduating this December and would peers and professionals to give me advice about a next step. Ideally I would like to dive straight into an entry level job in either IB or private equity. Climate related factors and my own weaknesses, make my short term goal highly unlikely.

I will be graduating with a 3.7 in International Business (should have picked a different major) from a non-prestigious school. I have not had any financial internships. Over the past year, I was an exchange student taking Chinese & various business courses in Asia.

I have two questions:

  1. Right now can I find an entry level Job at a reputable firm?
  2. If not, what should I learn or do? i.e. Masters or other work

Thanks

bearingYou are graduating in 3 months and you don't have a job lined up? Forget banking at the moment and try to find a job in anything finance related. You can take a Masters but that's another 40k down the hole. Put things in perspective and start on the job hunt ASAP.

bearing, thanks for the response. After coming back form a year long exchange program and miraculously getting all my credits to transfer back, I've decided to graduate early. A little bit of an excuse as to why I do not have a job lined up. Could you be more specific in what sort of 'finance related' jobs I should pursue?

Thanks
