Where to invest £100k Question?

Just doing an application for corporate finance at a top 10 accounting firm, one of the questions is basically how would you invest £100k to maximise returns. I dont want people to think I want spoon feeding, just looking for any ideas on how you would answer this question, ie. how much detail to go into, whether to include stats etc? Presumably they just want some basic stuff to show your commercial awareness?
