Who pays for a coffee chat?

1st year b-school student at University of Michigan. I understand the importance of networking and aim at meeting a bunch of folk from the investment banking industry. But again I m a student, on a very tight budget. I would be meeting many from the industry for 1-1 coffee chats. What are some of the ideal places to take industry folk for coffee chats and how should my approach be towards paying? If the response is that I should be paying, it certainly will blow a hole through my pocket.Need your advise on how the coffee chats should be done, where should they be done and the approach towards conversing and paying for the coffee/snack/lunch???
