Why are my email response rates dropping.

Have seen all the posts about analysts getting destroyed with the hours during these past few months and was wondering if this may have an effect on non target recruiting this SA cycle. Response rates were 15% in october even with non-alumni and now have dipped to like 2-3%.

Was wondering if this tough environment is making it even tougher than before to respond to students reaching out.

I believe you are correct. Though many people are thinking of quitting, due to the even more limited time they have, they are deciding to use the 30 mins they would spend talking to prospective candidates on their future job search or just to get some down time. Plus, for these people, it would be tough for them to talk about their work and their interest in it with someone else when they would rather be trying to do something to find some time away from it.
