Why Would They Hire Me ?
Why would a firm shell out a couple 100 bucks a week to pay an intern with absolutely no experience in the finance world ?
Im talking about firms that don't openly advertise internships, Im applying to boutique places for an analyst or sales role in my local area and a few of the big firms as lotto tickets.
The only thing that separates me from others is in my cover letter I demonstrate my work ethic, creativity, risk taking & drive by telling them how I started a fitness website from scratch and grew it to over 650,000 visits in 3 years. Everything else screams non target college kid.
Are we all destined to work for free unless we get internships at the BB investment banks ?
