Will a commercial banking internship help with IB recruiting?
Hi everyone,
I am a sophomore looking to get into investment banking at a bulge bracket for my junior year summer. Currently on my resume I have a search fund internship and a private equity internship. My dilemma is that I wasn't able to land an investment banking internship for this summer. But, I have an offer for commercial banking at a bulge bracket bank for this summer. This will be my most relevant experience to date. I am wondering if the commercial banking internship will position me better for investment banking recruiting for my junior year summer or if I should try to continue in the small private equity firm I am interning at currently. All advice is appreciated.
I'd go for the PE and/or searchfund internship, commercial banking isn't really where it's at imo
