Will a sophomore tech internship harm my junior SA prospects?

I'm a HYPSM student studying computer science. I'm generally interested in both tech and finance and want to try both out. I'm wondering if working at a tech company this summer (FAANG) will harm my prospects for my junior summer. I have finance experience and will spend most of this year working at a hedge fund while I'm at school. I'd like to ideally go straight to buy side PE or a pretty competitive IB position (GS TMT). In any case, I'm hoping the finance role I do after my junior year is tech focused (tech ib/pe/etc). Will I be ok working at a tech company this summer?

No. It will make you a more diversified/competitive candidate. When it comes to interviews, your story of why you chose the path you did is most important.
