Working Student in Southeastasia possible?

I am a German international management student. My studies include a double degree, which allows me to study for two years in Germany and three years in China starting this autumn. Since I cannot go to China due to the current Covid policy, I would like to spend one year in southeastasia, preferably Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia. I only have part-time online classes for the first year and would like to take the opportunity to work part-time and gain further experience at the same time.

In Germany it is normal for students to work part-time while studying, we call it working student. Unfortunately, I had to learn that this is not the case in other Asia. I am glad that Companies in southeastasia offer many internships that match my interests. I am especially interested in Business Development, Supply Chain Management, Deployment Business Excellence and Strategy. But these internships do not exist as part-time positions. Are there opportunities to work in SEA as a student? What do you think are my chances if I apply for internships as a working student?

As a backup I could try to contact my colleagues from internships or sudent jobs, but my goal was to work in a new company.

I am grateful for any information!

Cheers
