Breaking into Structuring vs Sales wrt academic background requirements (S&T)

Hi there, I'm a final year ugrad maths student from a good but not great University. I was wondering if anyone could offer advice regarding whether a job in Structuring would be much more competitive/difficult to break into than a Sales job on a derivatives desk? Would it differ drastically, and would not having completed a masters rule me out for a structuring job? Thanks
