College student considering investment banking

I'm looking for a little assistance on what area of the investment field I want to go into. I go to UW-Milwaukee and am a Finance major and will apply for the investment management certificate. My question is what area of finance I should go into? Back in my early years of high school is when I started thinking about what I wanted to do and ever since I started learning about the investment field I loved it. The two areas I have come down to are corporate finance and investment banking. Though when I read posts about investment banking people tend to turn people away from it. The long hours for the first few years don't seem to bother me because it will pay off down the road. Another big thing that I want is a business to business relationship with people. One of my concerns is if my degree from UWM will open up good career opportunities. If anybody can help give more information and personal experiences it would be much appreciated!
