Data Science undergraduate student looking for inroads towards a quantitative finance career.
Hi,
I am a penultimate year undergrad and have significant experience in machine learning and AI. I have published a machine learning research paper recently, and am currently working on several projects that involve time series forecasting using sophisticated learning models eg. HMM, various deep learning models. These efforts are certainly not novel but i am looking for ways to beef up my portfolio before applying to high frequency trading firms and hedge funds. I am also applying and looking for grad schools to apply to, possibly to work at a masters degree straight after. Wondering if you guys have any inputs as to which schools are best for quantitative finance in general?
I also have a passion for mathematical modelling, and am wondering if there would be inroads to IB? Or is that a path I should realistically stop thinking about. (The compensation is what is attracting me, i dont mind slaving away for that.)
Regards.
thatbharat, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:
If we're lucky, the following users may have something to say: @FeedMeDealFlow" adamcoombswriting emergingmkts
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
MIT should be obvious
