financial difficulties, financial assistance

Hey. My name is Ivan. I am 28 years old. I am from Ukraine. I live in the city of Kherson. I have a wonderful wife and a daughter will be born in a week. And that's great. I am happy that another person will appear in my life. And I am very waiting for this moment. But my life was not so wonderful. If necessary, at the same time, for my stupidity, I got into debt and contacted banks. To date, the total amount of my debts is approximately $ 10,000. And this is a lot of money for Ukraine. I did not find another way to make a border, away from home. It's hard, but I will handle it. I settled to work on the ship, but I critically lack my salary to work on debt and contain a family. Therefore, I am looking for people who could help me. I am ready for all for the sake of a better life for my family.

Congrats on the baby Ivan.

How did you get $10k into debt? Do you owe it to a bank? Gambling debt? The mafia?

It sounds like the best thing you can do is spend time learning a higher income skillset if working on the ship isn't going to meet your financial requirements. Refinance the debt if possible. Sell off some of your assets and stick to a strict budget.

I don't know what kind of help you're expecting from the forum but that's my best advice.

Thank you. Yes, I took money on credit from the bank. There were certain difficulties in life and unsuccessful investments. For a long time there was no normal operation and then quarantine. It greatly influenced my finances. At the moment I negotiate with the bank to make refinancing. For several years now studying trading in the financial market, but everything rests on money again. Naturally, I'm trying to stick to the strict budget. I never spent money on the things you do not need. And you are right, the only option is to increase income.

I can resonate with the feeling.

There was a time when I started my business where I was literally all in, no more savings, no income and rent due in a week. To top it off I had an asshole attorney suing me. Had to take a personal loan collateralized by my car (my only semi-valuable asset) just to cover legal fees. Felt like rock bottom.

Keep your head up and stay creative. See if you can do some side work for friends/local businesses etc. Anything to bring in a few shekels will help. And keep learning and growing your network. Show initiative and desire to learn and you might be able to land an internship or back office role that could get your foot in the door and off of the ship.
