Getting in the business

So many kids think the only way to get into the business these days is go to an Ivy League. This is complete bullshit. I went to a non target school and landed a great job in sales and trading at a mm firm. The most important thing you need to do is connect with people, And don't be an arrogant fuck. I say again. Don't be an arrogant fuck!!! The people that work there starting out are all smarter than you. Get that through your head. Do anything you can to learn from these people. The. You will be successful

What process did you go through coming from a non target school? I dont know what the "target" schools are but I doubt I go to one.

Target schools are places that I banks come to recruit interns. I didn't have that either. What I did was find someone on the inside through either your connections, or even LinkedIn. Ask them if you could go in and shadow them. I did this numerous times the summer of my sophomore year. Start emailing the HR recruiters and set up informational interviews. This will get you on the radar.
