Getting Licenses
I want to become an internal wholesaler and eventually an external wholesaler. However, I am running into the Catch 22 of not being able to find a company that will hire someone without experience in the Financial Industry. What type of firm/job would hire someone without experience and sponsor them to get their Series 7, 63, etc? Even the Client Service positions seem to require 1-2 years of experience. The only places I've found that don't are places like Northwestern Mutual who try to get you to sell to your parents' friends and this is not something I would like to do. I am currently working a sales job for a medical device company (I've been there since graduation, a little under a year) and have a double major in Marketing and Finance from a respectable college.
