Hello - First year student at the University of Chicago

Hi there! I'm currently a first-year student at the University of Chicago. I'm interested in going into IBD and eventually transitioning into PE. I will be working this summer at a wealth management firm in Los Angeles. I have read through these forums for a long time now and have finally made an account for myself!

Where are you staying in LA? I ask this because it would seem more affordable for you to work in a position in Chicago. How do you pay for and coordinate something like this? I've always been curious. Welcome to the community!

When a plumber from Hoboken tells you he has a good feeling about a reverse iron condor spread on the Japanese Yen, you really have no choice. If you don’t do it to him, somebody else surely will. -Eddie B.

Hi! I'm actually from Los Angeles, just attending school in Chicago. So, I'll be staying at home over the summer (the most affordable option of all!). Thanks for the welcome!
