I hate being a non-target

I'm sure a lot of other non-targets can back me up on this, going to a non-target blows. Every morning I wake up and wish that I had known in high school or as a freshman how much going to a target helps. But honestly, it makes sense why banks recruit where they do.

Fellow non-target who put in a year before a boutique IB, and 2 years before a lateral to a respected MM firm where I’ve been for a year and just got promoted to associate.

Go fuck your self you self loathing POS. If you work hard and really want to be in IB you can get there if you have any persistence at all and don’t walk around with a “woe is me, state school kid with peers who would ruin a model” loser attitude.

Trying to refrain from being rude here, but this is just an embarrassing post and poor attitude. If you think like that, you will never get in. I came from a sub-pad state school and made it in. While it was very difficult and absolutely required some luck, I never let myself develop the attitude you have now. If I were to ever start thinking like you are now, I would’ve failed recruiting instantly. You cannot allow yourself to start thinking like that or else you’ve already lost.
