Introducing Capt. Monkey

Hey monkeys!
This is my second time trying to post an intro--so this'll likely be shorter. I'm Andy, also known as Capt. Monkey (although I've been promoted, I think I'll keep Capt. Monkey as my ). I found WSO about a year and some change ago. I think that I found it through GMAT Pill, although the details are now a little fuzzy. I'm doing B-school at UNC, while working full time as an Army officer. As such, I'm more experienced in leadership/management than finance. Nevertheless, I've long been fascinated by the world of finance and really enjoy studying it and talking about it. In addition to work and school, I'm building web content for a leader development start-up firm.

In my spare time, I like to be as social as I possibly can, meeting new people that are fun, energetic, and high-quality. I enjoy playing sports, especially polo, which I started playing last year.

Anyway, let me know if there's anything I can do to help you!

With all due respect, how and why did you choose the career as an army officer? Especially if you are fascinated by the world of finance, would you not have rather worked in the industry upon graduating college? Also, do you plan on working in the industry later? Some famous army figures in PE funds atm.
