Introduction Sufinance1

Hi all, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am originally from Russia and I moved to the US 8 years ago. While in Russia i received a BS in Mathematics and now i am studying Finance at Salisbury University in Maryland. While i was not very successful in math, i do have a pretty good GPA at SU. I plan to graduate in December of 2014, hopefully i will be able to pass 1 Level of CFA by then as well. I have been looking for internship opportunities in investment banking field but my search has been unsuccessful so far. I am a US citizen, therefore i do not require any Visa sponsorship. I think that my education background is my strength and lack of professional experience is my main weakness. I have been working as a retail store manager for a local department store since the day i came to the US. I keep working 40 hours a week while taking 18 credits at school, i think that shows that i am really good at time management. I am also a member of Beta Alpha Psi - honors organization of accounting and finance, and FMA member. In fact, we just came back from the trip to NY where we visited NYSE, JP Morgan and Skybridge. The trip was sponsored by FMA and it was great as we were able to actually go the trading floor of NYSE to see the closing bell. I hope that this website will help me gather some additional information about my dream career.
