My name is Christian and this is my story

Hello all! It always feels good joining a new forum. It's like a breath of fresh air. Anyway, I am a freshman in high school (yeah I know) that has a deep ambition to go to the top. Now I know that many of you will say "It takes a lotta luck" but I don't believe in luck. For many years I was deeply interested in film and was an aspiring director but took interest in Wall Street after reading some news articles on it. I'm new to this forum and I don't really know where to post this question but should I take up filmmaking or a job at Wall Street? The thing about filmmaking is that very rarely do people become successful directors and I don't want to be freelance doing like foreign car commercials. My dreams have always been to keep going up. Besides not knowing what I want to do, I have no idea how to get started in a career at Wall Street. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

In case you're not trolling:

Stick with what you love (film, I assume) and try really hard. In case Wall Street / business stays in the back of your head, aim for such kind of internships in between semesters whenever you can't get a film gig. That should provide some cushion if your movie maker plans don't pan out. Who knows, maybe the right spot as an analyst in film financing or as the assistant of a film studio executive will open up at just the right time (though that's a very niche market).

Cold email any MD's that went to your elementary school, ask them out for a drink and make sure when they pick you up at your house that your room is clean. Always let them pay regardless of how many chores you did this week and how many 5 spots you have in your wallet as a result. On a serious note, you're 14 years old....high school is going to be rough enough without adding any of the pressure associated with getting any full time job, wall street or not. Get good grades in a high school, attend a good college, major in something relevant and then start worrying about this shit.

i really don't understand kids like this... maybe if your dad is in the business and you actually (semi)know wtf you're talking about, I guess being this much of an early gunner makes sense. Otherwise, if you've never even taken a finance/business course in your life, how the fuck do you actually know if you want to be on 'wallstreet.'
