New Here at WSO! Intro.

Hello:

I'm new to Wall Street Oasis, although I've read forum posts from time to time and I've briefly reviewed the financial modeling programs WSO offers. I'm currently working in the Oil & Gas industry as a Contracts Specialist in my company's Supply Chain division. I handle $120MM in spend, and my main focus is around saving money of course! A lot of contract negotiations (pricing, terms and conditions), sourcing strategies, spend and market analytics (in Excel day in, and day out), contractor research, etc.

I'm eleven (11) months out of college. I went to a non-target, public university in the Big 12. My major was Marketing w/ Global Supply Chain Management as an emphasis. My overall GPA was 3.22, but my major specific GPA was 3.65. My main reason for being here on WSO is to learn more about finding IB roles (analyst, preferably in the Oil & Gas/Energy & Power sector), applying as a non-financial background candidate, and what I can do to make myself more attractive to BB. Also, interested in MBA, but only if I can get into a top-twenty.

That's my intro, looking forward to any responses and to be a contributor here at WSO!

Best.
