New IB Analyst Starting in January 2024 looking for roommate(s) in NYC
Hi everyone,
I'm a current senior at IU graduating this upcoming December and starting full time in IB in January 2024. I'm looking to find some roommates to split the expensive living costs of NYC. Is anyone here looking for something similar or does anyone have any advice as to what are some of the best ways to find roommates, specifically those who are starting early like me? Would appreciate any help that I can get!

Based on the threads on Wall Street Oasis, it seems like a common way to find roommates is to post your details in a similar fashion to the posts in the threads. You can include information such as your preferred neighborhood, start date, position, total number of roommates you're looking for, your gender, preferred roommate gender, budget, and contact method.
For example, you could say something like:
City: NYC Start Date: January 2024 Position: FT Analyst at IB Total Roommates: 2 or 3 Your Gender: [Your Gender] Roommate Gender: [Preferred Gender] Budget: [Your Budget] Contact: PM
You can also check out the threads for different years to see if there are others in a similar situation to you. It's a great way to connect with potential roommates who are also in the finance industry.
