Relocating to San Diego, CA from India and looking to work in FP&A / accounting.

Hi All,

I am a FP&A (financial planning & analysis) professional based in India currently. I will be relocating to the US post wedding and eligible to work, seeking opportunities in FP&A / related fields post the paper-work is sorted out which I expect to be end of 2017.

In that time, I was hoping to plan to study / gather credentials that will help me land in a decent job than start all over again.

My current level of education : Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance)- 3 year course, Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (Final level), Indian Chartered accountancy.

Experience: AUDIT -3 years (audit), IT INDUSTRY- FP&A (mergers & acquisitions), Functions finance FP&A - 2 years, BANKING INDUSTRY- Staff accounting- 1.5 years.

Varied summer internships in audit and banks (staff accounting).

If it were up to me, I would like to target to start with a Senior Financial Analyst position in an IT services/ Banking and financial services company expected salary of 80-90k for which I may need to get my CPA/CMA first or Can I pitch with my current experience?

Kindly advice.
