addicted to kpop group (HELP!!!)

All,

I recently came across a kpop song on YouTube and listened to it. The song was extremely catchy, so I went to the group's Spotify page and listened to some of their other hits, and before I knew it, I was addicted. It also doesn't help that the singers are extremely attractive, and as much as I try to convince myself the whole group is merely a marketing ploy, I can't break out of this addiction. I constantly find myself stalking some of the members online and frequently listening to their songs, and it has definitely taken a toll on my productivity.

How can I escape from this addiction before it becomes a serious problem?

Regards

Call it the honeymoon phase. It's such a compelling thing to discover at first, since it's so novel and foreign. That's why I think there's a natural tendency to overcome the obsession. If you really think it's affecting your productivity, just remember the resolve and self-discipline it took to make it into this industry in the first place. Beating this, so to speak, is peanuts compared to what you've likely been through already.

Thanks for the advice; most interests do have a honeymoon phase, and although it's hard to see out of it, hopefully this addiction will eventually fade.

Cheers

D1 athlete who’s in a good frat on campus and working for a BB next year. Fucking love KPOP and Ariana Grande. It’s really catchy well produced music. Who wouldn’t like it? I used to set my Spotify listens to private but then realized that nobody cares. If they do care, they’re just being an asshole. Really, who hates on people consuming music that gives them joy? Grow up.

Life is dynamite bitches. Enjoy some kpop.
