Advice Needed: Staying Productive Without Taking Adderall In IB..

I'm an analyst at a < 10-man boutique IB who has been taking Adderall on a recreational basis to stay productive / keep up with my work, as well as study for the Series exams. Ever since I started my analyst stint 2 Months ago, I have been purchasing the drugs from a friend who has a prescription for his ADHD. However, after realizing I am harming myself in the long term and experiencing the negative side effects,  I had a breaking point and decided to man the fuck up and quit abusing the drug just to get an “edge.”

I’ll be the first to say it; I'm a coward for using a drug I don’t need just to get shit done.

I wanted to come here and ask the community - what helps you guys stay productive / keep up with the long hours, as well as study for the series exams? I’ve heard of nootropics, working out in the AM, etc., but I wanted to see what tips/advice you guys may have.

As of today, I am quitting Adderall and will do things the right way. Thank you all in advance, and I look forward to reading your suggestions!

I get shit on everytime I post about this on this forum, but the carnivore diet (with enough fat, like 70/30) is a game changer not only for energy but for quitting addictions. I effortlessly quit coffee/weed on it, and my brother (who has literally been drinking coffee since he was 11) has been able to go basically cold turkey for 6 months now, and both of us can still work as late as we need and stay sharp/focused. We imagine it would have a similar capacity for other stimulants. Watch anthony chafee on youtube, he's a brain surgeon that breaks down a smart way to approach this long term.

watch that channel I listed. cholesterol/fat being deemed "evil" despite being the primary source of fuel for 99% of human history and the building block of all hormones is mainly the work of a harvard-big-food-helper asshole named Ancel Keys.

If all of human history was mapped onto a 365 day calendar, agriculture was invented on december 15th, and there wasn't much of any non-poisonous calories in nature for humans to eat except for meat/fat

Watching his vids rn. Been having a hard time coming to my own conclusion about the best diet when each piece of wisdom I read is able to be discredited by someone with a different approach.

and thats a very common conundrum because all the "data" we have about food's impact on health comes from epidemiological studies, which are a fancy way of taking a survey about what people can recall eating in a given week and cross referencing that with their health problems. Thats the reason why one month a "superfood" supposedly cures cancer and the next month it supposedly kills you. Not to mention the vast majority of any nutritional "studies" are funded by companies whose growth is directly tied to you filling up on sugar/seed oils/etc AND the "expert" doctors make more money when we are all sick fat fucks!

You really just gotta look around at how this has made so many people healthy after chronic issues, and nobody has died of any deficiencies like the average food-pyramid-pushing doctor will warn you. This is because meat has enough of everything despite what some say, even enough trace vitamin C such that nobody has ever gotten scurvy. Then, after seeing that its not going to kill you (likely the opposite) try it for yourself for a month, and do it right (not with lean meat, but enough fat, and making sure to not keep ANY trace plant products a part of your daily intake, even substances/supps/etc). In return you will feel absolutely amazing after you adapt.

Lmk if I can help - I really dont even think I'd be healthy enough to be in banking without this way of eating
