Advise Request - Next Steps after A&D M&A

Hey Everyone

Currently in Corporate Strategy / M&A at a top-5 global defense contractor, focusing on M&A for the defense business arm. Previously had a short stint in LMM sell-side before getting pulled back by a former boss who’s now Head of Strategy.

Looking ahead a couple of years and trying to map out potential next steps. Would love to hear from people who’ve made similar transitions.

- Which industries have similar value drivers that would intrigue someone from A&D M&A?

- Which industries tend to value this background the most and offer solid long-term upside?

Any input or opinions is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
