Alcohol to increase productivity and performance during stressful times? Covid-19

https://www.healthline.com/health-news/more-peopl…

I had a relative who is a doctor send me this article. As a result, this article got me wondering if alcohol use on the job is common practice in IB, especially during these tough times. I have heard of some people drinking a beer, for example, before an exam to "take the edge off," further claiming that it keeps them from stressing/panicking and generally keeps anxiety levels down. Is there anyone who has had similar experiences or used it for an interview or the like that is willing to fess up and entertain us?

If I were to guess this isn’t a very healthy thing to do, but I’m curious to hear if anything does it...

During my first internship, I could not have gone to sleep without a stiff brandy, with all that anxiety and mental stress. It is not something I´m proud of, but sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do.
